2011¶
Il nostro HackLab si è formato nell'autunno 2011 da un'idea di SuLuLab che, in occasione dell'Open Terni Festival, aveva presentato alcuni progetti realizzati con Arduino, Processing e Android (TagTool, Android Arduino Sequencer) e, nel corso della manifestazione, aveva contattato diverse persone con interessi simili.
Poco dopo è nato l'HackLab Terni come gruppo informale.
Our HackLab gathered in the autumn of 2011 from an idea by SuLuLab , that had brought some projects realized using Arduino, Processing and Android (TagTool, Android Arduino Sequencer) to Open Terni Festival and, during the event, had contacted several people who had similar intersts.
A little time later HackLab Terni was born as an informal group.
2012¶
Nell'aprile 2012 abbiamo realizzato un'installazione interattiva luminosa per la rappresentazione teatrale Una storia sbagliata dell'Associazione Progetto.
Il 20 aprile abbiamo partecipato all'Arduino Day a Roma insieme con SuLuLab: in questa occasione abbiamo presentato il progetto comune Internet Radio e il nostro primo progetto originale Manobot.
In occasione della 42^ Mostra Mercato Nazionale del Radioamatore del 26-27 maggio abbiamo portato il progetto Open Energy Monitor e i circuiti morbidi per giovanissimi.
Tra maggio e giugno abbiamo organizzato un corso di elettronica per principianti.
Dal settembre 2012 abbiamo costituito un'associazione di promozione sociale: questo è il nostro Statuto.
Abbiamo costruito una piccola macchina CNC comprando ed assemblando il kit Shapeoko per la parte meccanica e realizzando in proprio la parte elettronica di controllo basata su Arduino: queste le prime prove di incisione.
Al Linux Day 2012 di Terni abbiamo presentato i nostri progetti vecchi e nuovi ( CNC, Insetto Robot e Like Station ) e abbiamo realizzato anche una videoproiezione con la tecnica del Projection Mapping.
Il 6 dicembre abbiamo organizzato un laboratorio per bambini sui circuiti morbidi.
In April 2012 we realized an interactive luminous installation for the play Una storia sbagliata by Associazione Progetto.
On 20th April we went to Arduino Day in Rome together with SuLuLab: at this event we showed our common project Internet Radio and our first original project Manobot.
On 26th-27th May we brought the Open Energy Monitor project and the squishy circuits workshop to the 42^ Mostra Mercato Nazionale del Radioamatore (42nd Radio-amateur National Faire).
From May to June we organized an electronics course for beginners.
On 11th September 2012 we constituted an association for social promotion: this is our Statuto.
We built a small CNC machine with a Shapeoko kit for the mechanics and realized our own electronics with Arduino: these are out first engravings.
On Linux Day 2012 in Terni we brought our old and new projects ( CNC, Insect Robot and Like Station ). We also realized a Projection Mapping.
On 6th December we organized a workshop for children about squishy circuits.
2013¶
In occasione della Giornata della Memoria 2013 abbiamo realizzato l’elaborazione video di proiezioni che l'associazione Progetto ha utilizzato nella rappresentazione teatrale La Scelta nei giorni 25, 26 e 27 gennaio.
A febbraio è partito il primo corso Arduino base, che è proseguito fino ad aprile con un totale di sei incontri ed è stato ripetuto a giugno..
Il 23 marzo siamo stati presenti al Codemotion 2013, dove abbiamo portato il terzo premio dell'Hackathon organizzato da WhyMCA.
Il 6 aprile abbiamo partecipato all'Arduino Day 2013 con i progetti Arduino Droid Rover, Like Station e Insetto Robot, con una postazione TagTool formato cinema e un affollato laboratorio sui circuiti morbidi.
Abbiamo contribuito all'Ideario #umbriadigitale per la costruzione dell'Agenda digitale dell'Umbria con l'idea "Un FabLab in ogni città", che è stata inclusa fra le idee in discussione nella giornata di talk del 16 aprile di #umbriadigitale.
Anche in occasione della rappresentazione teatrale 25 in direzione ostinata e contraria (29 e 30 aprile) si è rinnovato il nostro contributo al materiale di scena dell'associazione Progetto.
Il 21 maggio abbiamo presentato la nostra associazione ed alcuni nostri progetti ad una delegazione dei partner europei che partecipano al progetto E-coop. Il Comune di Terni ci ha segnalato come "Best Practice" all'interno del progetto e la nostra scheda è stata inclusa nel wiki del progetto E-coop. Qui il report della visita e la nostra presentazione.
Subito dopo siamo partiti alla volta di Milano per raggiungere Hack Reality 2 - The Rise of Information, evento organizzato da WhyMCA nella giornata del 25 maggio. Abbiamo portato Energy Monitor e Internet Radio nell'area espositori, ed il laboratorio per bambini "Circuiti morbidi".
Il 29 giugno abbiamo presentato una nuova installazione di projection mapping intitolata "PPP" al Festival Nutrimenti del Centro di Palmetta.
Dal 1° al 5 luglio abbiamo dato vita ad "Una settimana elettrizzante", laboratorio di elettronica per bambini dai 7 ai 12 anni, presso le strutture del caos di Terni. Questo è il diario dell'esperienza: giorno uno, giorno due, giorno tre, giorno quattro, giorno cinque.
Il 14 settembre abbiamo organizzato un raduno presso caos per la partecipazione alla prima littleBits Global Makeathon, laboratorio-maratona per ragazze e ragazzi. La partecipazione è stata entusiastica (qui il resconto) e, oltre ai partecipanti, sono intervenuti anche numerosi amici che ci hanno dato il loro aiuto: Laura Belli, FabLab Roma, Etsy Italia Team e DiScienza. Il 28 settembre siamo stati coinvolti nella Google for Entrepreneurs Week. Per l'occasione abbiamo preparato un evento intitolato Make your future! rivolto a bambini e ragazzi all'interno del quale era possibile partecipare a vari laboratori, adatti a varie fasce di età: Circuiti morbidi, Lego WeDo, littleBits, Lego Mindstorms e un torneo di ArduSumo con i robot forniti da DiScienza. Anche in questa occasione i partecipanti sono stati numerosi e hanno mostrato apprezzamento per tutte le attività proposte (qui il resconto). Dal 4 al 6 ottobre abbiamo partecipato come espositori alla prima Maker Faire Rome con il progetto ARTURo (per il quale Bruce Sterling ha mostrato il suo apprezzamento nel suo blog) e un laboratorio Circuiti morbidi al quale ha collaborato anche Jorge Medal del Makerspace Madrid con gli Oblobots! Il 26 ottobre abbiamo partecipato all'edizione annuale dell'Open Terni Festival organizzato dal Terni GNU/LUG alla BCT - Biblioteca Comunale Terni in occasione del Linux Day 2013 con due talk, laboratori con Circuiti Morbidi e Lego Mindstorms e la prima edizione ternana del CoderDojo per introdurre i ragazzi alla programmazione con Scratch. Dal 21 dicembre siamo stati presenti alla mostra Contemporanea 4 a Palazzo di Primavera (Terni) con l'installazione "Light Chaos" comprendente quattro progetti: ARTURo, BoBeBo (aka Insetto Robot), robot caotici BEAM e PKK 1.0, primo nostro esperimento di proiezione interattiva con Kinect.
On Holocaust Remembrance Day 2013 we realized a video elaboration for the association Progetto that was used for the play La Scelta on 25th, 26th and 27th January.
In February the first Basic Arduino course started, to continue until April with six lessons, and another one in June.
On 23rd March we were at Codemotion 2013, where we brought the third prize of the Hackathon organized by WhyMCA.
On 6th April we participated to Arduino Day 2013 with the projects Arduino Droid Rover, Like Station and Insect Robot, with a TagTool cinema size installation and a crowded squishy circuits workshop.
We contributed to Ideario #umbriadigitale for the making of the Agenda digitale dell'Umbria (Digital Agenda of Umbria) with the proposal "A Fablab in every town", that was included among the ideas discussed at #umbriadigitale talk on 16th April.
We renewed our contribution to the props of the association Progetto for the play 25 in direzione ostinata e contraria (29th and 30th April).
On 21st May we introduced our association and some of our projects to a delegation of European partners who take part in the E-coop project. The City Council of Terni reported us as "Best Practice" in the project and our card was included in the wiki of the E-coop project. Here the report of the visit and our presentation. After a short time we left for Milan to reach Hack Reality 2 - The Rise of Information, an event organized by WhyMCA on 25th May. We brought Energy Monitor and Internet Radio in the exhibitors area, and the "Squishy Circuits" workshop for children. On 29 giugno presented a new projection mapping installation called "PPP" at Festival Nutrimenti of Palmetta Centre. From 1st to 5th July we gave life to "An electrifying week", an electronics workshop for children aged 7 to 12, by the facilities of caos in Terni. This is our diary: day one, day two, day three, day four, day five. On 14th September we organized a gathering by caos foor the participation in the first littleBits Global Makeathon, a workshop-marathon for girls and boys. Participation was enthusiastic (here the report) and, besides the participants, there were many friends of ours who lend us a hand: Laura Belli, FabLab Roma, Etsy Italia Team and DiScienza. On 28ht September we were involved in Google for Entrepreneurs Week. On this occasion we organized an event called Make your future! for children and teenagers with several workshops: Squishy Circuits, Lego WeDo, littleBits, Lego Mindstorms and an ArduSumo tournament with the robots lent by DiScienza. Also this event was attended by many participants, who enjoyed all of the activities (here the report). From 4th to 6th October we took part in the first Maker Faire Rome as exhibitors with the project ARTURo (that was noticed by Bruce Sterling in his blog) and a Squishy Circuits workshop where Jorge Medal from Makerspace Madrid took part with his Oblobots! On 26th October we took part into the annual edition of Open Terni Festival organized by Terni GNU/LUG at the BCT - Biblioteca Comunale Terni (City Library of Terni) on Linux Day 2013 with two talks, Squishy Circuits and Lego Mindstorms workshops and the first CoderDojo Terni meeting to teach programming to the children using Scratch. From 21st December we were at the exhibition Contemporanea 4 in Palazzo di Primavera (Terni) with the installation called "Light Chaos" made of four projects: ARTURo, BoBeBo (aka Insect Robot), Chaotic robots and PKK 1.0, our first experiment of interactive projection with Kinect.
2014¶
Il nostro primo evento dell'anno si è svolto pochi minuti dopo la mezzanotte in occasione dei festeggiamenti presso il caos (Centro Arti Opificio Siri) di Terni con l'installazione interattiva PKK 2.0.
Il 2 febbraio si è conclusa la nostra presenza alla mostra Contemporanea 4.
L'8 febbraio abbiamo organizzato il nostro primo MakerDojo, intitolato: Saldare è semplice!, mentre il 22 è stata la volta del CoderDojo Il mio primo videogioco.
Sabato 8 marzo è stata la volta del MakerDojo Light Box- La scatola mylar-bolante, mentre il 15 marzo abbiamo ricevuto la visita di due classi del Liceo Scientifico Donatelli, venute per conoscere alcuni dei nostri progetti realizzati con Arduino.
